Cornell Center for Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education Request for Proposals

The Cornell Center for Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education (CCARRE) is seeking competitive proposals for collaborative research projects that are broadly relevant to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and have achievable and impactful one-year goals.  The aim of this funding program is to nucleate research that will foster transdisciplinary collaborations in the field of AMR that span Cornell departments, colleges, and campuses.  The science can be either basic or applied but should have clear impact with concretely demonstrable and predefined endpoints, with an emphasis on progression to future extramural support. LOI is due 1/26/24 by 5:00 PM ET; Full proposals due 3/1/24 by 5:00 PM ET.

Travel Grants

Grants of up to $750 are available to full time students, academic staff and faculty of all Cornell campuses to support new antimicrobial resistance research collaborations and presentation of AMR-related research at conferences.

Clinical Microbiology/Infectious Diseases Immersion Fellowship – Weill Cornell Medicine

A postdoctoral position is available beginning on July 1, 2023 in Drs. Michael Satlin and Lars Westblade’s laboratory at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. The purpose of this postdoctoral fellowship is to train and prepare the applicant to successfully compete for American Society for Microbiology Subcommittee on Postgraduate Education Programs (CPEP) accredited two-year fellowships in Medical and Public Health Microbiology.
