The Lee lab specializes in the study of HIV global strains diversity and viral genetics in the context of drug resistance and viral persistence. With a unique background in viral bioinformatics, deep sequencing assays development and molecular epidemiology, Dr. Lee has pioneered the development of three HIV viral deep sequencing assays and their bioinformatics pipelines that were adapted internationally and widely applied to cohorts in Uganda, South Africa, Switzerland, France, Canada and the U.S.A.
